We borrowed a box from the museum to compare modern day toys with toys from the past. The children had an opportunity to sketch toys and use mark making to help colour and give effect to their pictures.
We have started looking at a non-fiction text which will lead to the children writing their own information sheets on toys.
In maths we are working on addition and subtraction. The children are writing number sentences and using part, part whole model as well as concrete apparatus to solve maths problems.
During Anti-bullying week we discussed how unique we are and made puzzle pieces which we are joining together to show how we all work together to create a happy and friendly environment. We used fruit to show how hurt we can feel when people do unkind things and then each paid another person a compliment.
Everyone looked great with their odd socks, thank you for the money you donated to help Children in Need.
