LEARNING TOGETHER: WRITING
Thursday 9th March Thank you to all the parents who attended our Learning Together session. The children really enjoyed writing their Commotion in the Ocean poems with you! Please help your child to develop their letter formation by completing the handwriting sheets that were sent home. These do not need to be returned to school. |
LEARNING TOGETHER: READING Tuesday 28th February Thank you to all the parents who attended our Learning Together session. The aim of the session was to give you an insight into how we teach reading in Year 1 and how you can help at home. We really enjoyed re-telling the story of 'The Runaway Pancake' using our puppets. Your child came home with a pack of useful resources today, please use these to help you when reading with your child at home. The pack included: tips on reading at home, comments that could be used in the reading record, questions to ask your child when reading with them, phoneme mats and word lists to use with your child at home to develop their reading of sight words.
