We have been giving the beebots instructions this week to move them around our imaginary dinosaur theme parks! To do this we have been learning about coordinates, right and left and whole, half and quarter turns.
Thank you to everyone that brought in theme homework this term (they were all amazing!) and those that came to our open afternoon. We had great fun printing patterns on dinosaurs with carrots, celery and footprint sponges. We also made our own salt dough fossil to bring home.
As we come to the end of our Dino-Saw-Us theme, the children have been reflecting on what they have enjoyed about it and why. Here are some of their ideas.
Tyler, Harrison and Madison enjoyed our trip to 'All Things Wild' because of the enormous dinosaur models and being allowed to touch exciting animals, such as a chameleon, snake and lizard.
Kadie loved exploring the dinosaur robots in a computing lesson. Lewis enjoyed making a skeleton of a dinosaur from differently shaped pieces of pasta and Jayden found using the learnpads to make a collage very exciting.
Do any adults or children have any favourite moments or activities from our theme this term? If so, please leave a comment!
