On Wednesday 23rd November, we went to visit Tewkesbury Abbey. Reverand Ed showed us round. We learnt all about baptism and how this shows that people belong to Chrisianity. He baptised Teddy Kilo. Some of the children were the Godparents and Parents. We had a really lovely time.
Rafe's Grandma Sue came to visit our class. We asked her lots of questions about toys she used to play with. She brought some of her toys to show us and even left some for us to use in class.
We really enjoyed her talk! As part of our Anti-Bullying week we talked about what the definition of Bullying is. We also discussed using our 'Power For Good' and showing kindness towards others. We thought about what a good friend is and how we are good friends.
We made a kindness tree. On the hands, we wrote how we are kind. Welcome to Robins class blog!
The Robins have settled back into school well after half-term. This week in Maths, we have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. On Friday the children will bring some homework home relating to our shape work. In English we have been learning how to re-tell the story of 'Whatever Next!' using actions and words. Robins have really enjoyed this. This week we are going to change where Teddy visits and then write a new story about Teddy's adventure. In Theme we have been learning about Autumn. The children did some lovely autumn art work last week. They printed Autumn trees using paint and cotton buds and made Autumn animal collages using leaves. This week we are making our new role play area, it will be a Toy Museum and Toy Shop. |
